About:

Acacia Park was Colorado Springs’ first park which was donated to the city by its founder, General William Jackson Palmer in 1871. Acacia, along with Antlers and Alamo Square Parks, make up three legacy downtown public spaces which have provided the community with recreation for more than a century. Find the final master plans of Acacia, Antlers, and Alamo Square Parks at Downtown Historic Parks Improvements | Colorado Springs.

In accordance with the Downtown Historic Parks Improvement Project, Acacia park was reimagined to include a permanent ice arena, an elevated viewing deck, and an artificial turf amphitheater.

In 2022 the playground was completed and now includes a new artistic Ninja Warrior-like climbing structure, a tot lot with colorful rubberized features, a slide, and a spinner.
