Regional Parks
Regional parks offer a large area of parkland with recreation resource values of regional and community significance. Regional trails provide recreational enjoyment, links, and access to recreation areas of regional significance and local communities, as well as commuting opportunities. Open space is generally described as an area with important natural, cultural, historic, or visual resource values that have been purposefully protected.
Join us in regional parks to breathe fresh air on walking trails, go for invigorating hikes, take in scenic views, connect with nature, and learn more about the history and geology of our wonderful city.
Community Parks
Community parks are larger and are intended to serve the needs of several neighborhoods as well as community-wide needs. Community parks provide space for you to get active! Bring your family out to play a friendly game at one of our athletic fields, get some exercise or relaxation in one of our swimming pools, or visit a community center to learn about local activities and resources. Other amenities can include walking paths for fun, like fitness and scenic views, open sod grass areas for activites like pickup sports games, picnic areas with pavilions for gathering with family and friends, playgrounds for exploring as well as court facilities found in neighborhood parks to get exercise and spend time with others.
