For residents interested in running for a Colorado Springs City Council District position, the City Clerk will conduct a candidate training on Thursday, Jan. 2 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the City Administration Building at 30 S. Nevada Ave, Room 102.
The training will include general election information along with guidelines regarding candidate filing and campaign finance law. The candidate training session will be recorded and posted to the City website at ColoradoSprings.gov/CandidateInformation.
On April 1, 2025, a General Municipal Election will be held to elect each of the six district City Council positions for Colorado Springs. To find a list of the current city council members and in which council district a residential address is located, please visit ColoradoSprings.gov/CityCouncilDistricts.
Residents interested in running can also pick up a candidate filing packets in the City Clerk’s Office (30 South Nevada Avenue, Suite 101), Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Dec. 31, 2024 and Jan. 21, 2025. The candidate filing period ends at 5 p.m. on January 21.
