The City of Colorado Springs is inviting the public to attend an open house on Wednesday, July 31 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. at the Penrose Library to learn more about ongoing improvements along South Cascade Avenue aimed at enhancing safety and connectivity.
The South Cascade Avenue Improvements Project will restripe South Cascade Avenue between Colorado Avenue and West Fountain Boulevard and extend existing bicycle lanes to provide safe connections to numerous local community trails and attractions. No changes will be made to the parking capacity with this project.
The restriping work will be funded through the bicycle tax and City General Funds and performed by City crews. The work is anticipated to take place in the fall. More information is available at https://coloradosprings.gov/CascadeBikeLanes.
