Starting Sunday, Sept. 22, 30th Street between Mesa and Garden of the Gods roads will be fully closed nightly from 7 p.m.-6 a.m. to conduct 2C-funded milling and paving work. Construction will last approximately two weeks, weather dependent. Travelers should use an alternate route during that time.
This is one of several traffic impacts that will affect the Garden of the Gods area in the coming months. Additional construction activities in the area include improvements to utility infrastructure, concrete, paving and resurfacing now through the spring of 2020. The planned widening of 30th Street, between Mesa Road and Fontanero Street, along with installation of a roundabout at Gateway Road, is currently in design with a public meeting anticipated this fall. Construction of the widening project is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2020 and be completed by the fall of 2021.

Please Note: Paving work on 30th Street between Mesa and Garden of the Gods roads is a separate project from anticipated improvements to take place from Mesa Road south to Fontanero Road. The 30th Street Corridor Development Project is still in design with a public meeting scheduled for Oct. 9th.
