GOCO Inspire Initiative Grant

Pikes Peak Region receives GOCO Inspire Initiative Grant to get more kids outdoors more often...

The Pikes Peak Region was selected from more than 30 applications to receive a planning grant to further develop specific plans and programs to create or expand nearby parks and nature, improve access to existing outdoor parks or trails, and bolster youth programs.

The Pikes Peak Coalition includes 13 governmental agencies, organizations and local program providers committed to advancing efforts in underserved neighborhoods, and improving outdoor experiences throughout the region.  We are currently engaged in a planning process to identify barriers and opportunities to engaging youth and families in the outdoors.  Once the planning process is complete at the end of 2016 the coalition will have the opportunity to apply for a $1 million to $5 million implementation grant from Great Outdoors Colorado.

Please email Tilah,, for more information or to stay updated on the Inspire planning process and implementation.
