Tonight, based on the strength of preliminary election results, Mayor Yemi Mobolade is grateful to share his reaction to the passing of Ballot Issue 2C.

“Colorado Springs, I want to extend my deepest and most heartfelt thanks to you for passing ballot measure 2C!  I am grateful for your support of this 10-year renewal of our road repair and maintenance program, without raising taxes.

This proven program means smoother, safer roads to work, schools, hospitals, military installations, your favorite restaurants, and our homes. I’m proud of the 2C progress so far and ready to continue improving our roads. A robust quality of life depends on strong infrastructure and is also key to creating a safe, economically prosperous, culturally rich, welcoming, and vibrant world-class American city on a hill that shines brightly.

I SEE you and I thank you for your investment in our community.  Here’s to smoother roads ahead, and our continued efforts to build a city of great neighbors and neighborhoods.”
