In the month of March, the Colorado Springs Airport (COS) saw a total of 163,695 passengers travel through the terminal, with 82,742 of those passengers enplaning at COS.  March 2023 enplanements were down 5.3 percent compared to March 2022 due to the exit of Frontier Airlines at COS in November 2022.  Without Frontier’s exit, March enplanements would have been up 2 percent. Year-to-date (January-March) enplanements at COS are up 2.5 percent in comparison to 2022 and 33.9 percent when compared to the industry’s 2019 pre-pandemic benchmark year.

The month of March saw a load factor average of 79.8 percent, representing a 0.9 percent increase versus 2022. With 103,704 seats in the market for March, seats were down slightly from last year.   However, seats are expected to be up year-over-year for summer and through fall.

As travelers plan their summer travel, COS is offering several new nonstop markets this summer.
